About Me

im kyle. i like to do things. i also like to keep lists of the things i do. this is my website for me to put the lists of things that i do :)

some other things about me: im 25 and work as a computer engineering researcher in san antonio. im also a part-time graduate student at UTSA. in my free time i like to hang out with friends and do hobby stuff, which rotates constantly. i am currently really into ceramics, baking, ice skating, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Page Overviews
this website is made up of multiple different pages, each corresponding to a hobby of mine. you can change pages in two ways:
  1. using the dropdown menu in the top left (just under the File button)
  2. use the sheet tabs in the bottom left (click the arrow buttons to change which tabs are displayed).
an overview of each page:
  • music: lists of my favorite albums/songs that release each year
  • restaurants: list of my favorite restaurants in san antonio, and the restaurants i want to try
  • recipes: lists my baking recipes
  • photobook: photos from trips i have taken
  • art: photos of art things i have made
  • skating: checklist of figure skating moves i have learned and need to learn
  • making a website: guide on how you (yes you) can make a personal website
FAQ
Q: why did you make a website?
A:
  1. i want a way to share my hobbies (people like to ask for my recipes)
  2. im not a big fan of social media in general, so a personal website allows me to still have an online presence/outlet
  3. making a website is fun
Q: why is this website designed to look like a spreadsheet?
A: before I created this website, i kept track of almost all the information on this website (plus much more) in a giant excel sheet on my computer. so when i decided to create this website as a place to share many of the things in that excel sheet, i felt it was fitting to keep the spreadsheet theme.
Q: what happened to your other music website?
A: i used to have a different website (albumsfromkyle.github.io) that i used as a place to share my music lists. i wasn't happy with the design of that website and wanted to share more things than music, so i deleted it and created this website instead. but you can still find all my music lists on the "music" page here!
Q: how long did this take to make?
A: majority of the work was done on-and-off over roughly 3 months. i still do infrequent updates to the site, but that amount of work is too hard to estimate.
